How does the credit system work?

BooksWriter uses a credit-based system to manage AI generation resources. Different features and models consume different amounts of credits, which depends on the amount of content as well.

How do I export my stories?

You can export your work at any time. From the story editor, click the download icon in the toolbar and select your preferred format (TXT, PDF, or DOCX). This will download all written chapters of your story.

How can I get more credits?

BooksWriter credits are currently limited due to high demand. There are two primary ways to obtain credits:

  1. Contact Us - Writers with compelling projects can email support@bookswriter.xyz with details about their writing goals. Our team reviews each request individually.
  2. Writing Competitions - Participate in BooksWriter's periodic writing competitions. Winners receive substantial credit packages as prizes. Upcoming competitions will be announced in our newsletter.

Note: As our platform grows, credit allocation may become more limited. We're currently able to support serious writers who demonstrate commitment to their craft.

Troubleshooting

Story generation is taking too long

If your story generation seems stuck or is taking an unusually long time, try these steps:

  1. Refresh the page and check if the generation continues
  2. Check your internet connection
  3. Check if you are on the right story part in navigation
  4. If the problem persists, contact support with your project ID

Audio generation failed

If you're having trouble generating audio for your story:

  1. Check that you have sufficient credits for audio generation
  2. Try with a smaller section of text (under 5,000 words)
  3. Make sure your text doesn't contain special characters or formatting that might interfere with audio processing
  4. Try again after a few minutes, as our audio service might be experiencing high demand

Changes not saving

If your edits aren't being saved:

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Look for any error messages in the editor
  3. Try refreshing the page (your changes might be in local storage)
  4. Make sure you're not in "Read Mode" which doesn't allow editing

Can't export my story

If you're having trouble exporting your story:

  1. Try a different export format (TXT is the most reliable)
  2. Check if your browser is blocking downloads
